Anthropolis Chair’s Colloqium

The « Anthropolis » chair is investigating user centered eco-innovations in the context of urban mobility systems and their interactions with other urban systems. The main research area of the chair are novel mobility services in the context of multi-modal hubs involving eco-efficient modes of transport. The Anthropolis Chair is jointly operated by IRT SystemX and LGI (Laboratoire Génie Industriel) at CentraleSupélec. It is co-funded by five industrial partners : Alstom, Engie, RATP, Renault, and SNCF.

This colloqium by the chair holder Jakob Puchinger will set the stage for the upcoming three years of research and teaching on human centered urban mobility. He will present the main research topics treated within the chair as well as recent developments and innovations in urban mobility: Current and future technological developments present many opportunities for disruptive change of the current mobility system. New user centered services are emerging meeting societal will to change the face of tomorrow’s cities towards more citizen friendly and ecological systems. With a user centered approach the Anthropolis chair addresses some of today’s challenges related to urban mobility. Finally major actors from the industrial partners will participate in a podium disscussion laying out their expectations and motivations for participating in this substantial reesearch effort.
